Diversity and Inclusion

At tusp, it is imperative that our staff feel safe, supported and understood. We are proud to have an inclusive, diverse and accessible workplace that provides equal opportunities, celebrates the multi-faceted talents of our team, and protects them from discrimination, harassment, bullying and victimisation. Our industry relies on a diverse range of skills, ideas, innovation and experience in order to develop, grow and prosper. We can only provide our customers with a fantastic service if our workforce is representative of our diverse society and the customers who use our rail services in the UK every day. No one should be denied opportunities, work or human rights based on their race, gender identity, sex, religion, age, ethnicity, physical ability, or sexuality, and we are devoted to only engaging with suppliers, clients and businesses who share and uphold these values, promoting equality not only in the workplace but in all aspects of life.

Women in the Workplace

We are particularly proud that our head office is 83% female, with women working in a variety of roles, from management to supportive positions, and covering a range of disciplines. Our team members have fantastic opportunities to progress within tusp, with training encouraged and provided to everyone. We are committed to being a flexible employer providing equal opportunities and support, where everyone gets the chance to contribute, and ideas and innovation are encouraged; where performance is recognised, and differences celebrated.

However, we understand that managing diversity and developing a culture of inclusion is a continuous process of improvement, not a one-off initiative. Therefore, our goals from 1/3/21 to 28/2/22 are to:

Establish a women’s network focusing on communication, mentoring and networking.

Gain membership to ENEI (Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion)

Obtain a C2E (Commitment to Equality) accreditation

Set up a Building for the Future Programme

Strive to provide a balanced team, working with our clients on how to adapt roles to make it more inclusive and appeal to a wider, more diverse audience.

Meeting

Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy details our core commitments and the steps we take to ensure we deliver on our promise and uphold these values of equality, fairness and antidiscrimination.
