Enterkine - Site Access Management

Duration: August 2020

Specialism: Consulting

Client: Network Rail

The Project: Network Rail Scotland project located at their site at Enterkine, with time critical completion targets. This was a 5-day blockage for re-railing a freight line in Scotland where the track was being re-laid over the 5-day period. This project was tusp’s first work bank opportunity for Network Rail Scotland under our Site Access Control framework.

tusp’s Work Scope: tusp provided Site Access Management services including:

  • Engaging Site Access Controllers responsible for signing staff on and off site and checking competencies and sentinel credentials.

  • Produced reports for Network Rail at specified 4-hourly intervals.

  • Safe delivery of the 5-day blockade, protecting staff on site and assisting with a smooth service to support Network Rail Scotland in meeting their delivery deadline.

Technical Capability:

  • Provided Site Access Management planning, organisation and mobilisation.

  • Supplied qualified and experienced site access controllers.

  • Produced and submitted 4-hourly reports and a final report summary of all activities on site during the possession.

  • Turnaround time from support initially being requested to the mobilisation on site was only 48 hours, demonstrating our speed of reactivity and ability to support our clients at short notice.

  • Used our innovative data solution, WorksiteCloud, for the provision of quality and accurate reports. This software provides a robust, data rich solution and supports the secure and rapid online recording of everything from resource control to the production activities that occurred on the worksite during the time of the possession.

  • Received positive feedback from the client regarding delivery of our services, which has led to a request from Network Rail Scotland for tusp to support their site access requirements going forward.
