GNGE Project Of the Year?
We’re very proud to announce that a major project tusp has been involved with since 2011 has now been shortlisted for Project of the Year at the National Rail Awards. Great Northern Great Eastern (GNGE) project has cost £360 m to deliver the modernisation of a Victorian Railway. Running from Peterborough to Doncaster the 84-mile route set to upgrade level crossings, centralise the signalling control at the Lincoln Signalling Centre, undertake track renewals for the whole route and replace bridges and culverts. GNGE was the biggest live railway project to have occurred outside of London with 2,500 elements being delivered.
