Ed Miliband Backs Apprenticeships – Richard & Ed To Team Up?!

The labour government has announced that it would plan to introduce fixed quotas of apprentices to any contractors winning public work. Ed Miliband said that every school leaver with the equivalent of two A levels would be guaranteed an apprenticeship if Labour wins the election. The Labour Leader went on to say that this could lead to 33,000 apprenticeships for the HS2 project alone! To do this the aim is to use money currently used for in-house training support toward apprenticeships instead.

tusp agree that the focus must be on the quality not just quantity of apprenticeships. Maybe our Richard Smith should team up with Ed to spread the word about apprenticeships!
