Crossrail 2 Plans Changed
Transport for London has amended plans for the £27bn Crossrail 2 rail scheme as it seeks to get Government approval next spring.
A third public consultation on the project is being made, after changes were proposed for the route.
The chosen route of the railway would see it run between South West and North East London, with links beyond to Surrey and Hertfordshire.
The hope is for construction to begin in 2020 and passenger services be running by 2030.
The consultation is looking for the public’s views on:
– Proposed station locations, entrances and exits for the tunnelled section of the route
– Proposed locations of ventilation shafts for the tunnelled section
– Proposed construction sites required to build and operate the tunnelled section of the scheme
– Proposed service patterns and changes to existing National Rail services
