Introduction
Electrical Building Services Estimator immediately sought by leading UK Contracting Group.
You will support a number of shell and core and fit -Out projects within the Building Services sector with a key focus on major residential redevelopment schemes.
 
Responsibilities
Analyse enquiry contents, extract commercial requirements
to interpret the “Scope of Work” and where necessary, formulate and place Sub‐Contract Enquiries and appraise subsequent responses.
Attend Pre‐Tender Meetings and Site Visits establishing working conditions and ensuring completion of the necessary Site Reports.
 
Perform “Quantity Take‐Offs” of materials and labour operations from G.A. Drawings, Schedules and Specifications. If necessary, establish “Bills of Quantities” and provide Bills of Materials to facilitate material supply pricing.
 
Appraise Electrical Installation Work and assess methods of
Installation, Man-hours and Plant requirements. Evaluate and apply Norms/Costs to “Bills of Quantities” or “Schedules of Rates”, including sub‐contract elements.
 
Establishing Total Man-hours and Costs, evaluating Plant, Staff, Site supervision and Accommodation requirements. Finalise estimates and prepare Tender Submission, including all Qualifications, considerations and supporting documentation.
 
Liaise with the Client and all parties concerned during the Tender period.
Carrying out a review of any resultant Contract Document. Attending Post Tender Meetings internally or with Clients as necessary.
 
Requirements
Qualifications: C&G, BTEC / Degree
Experience: Building Services sector (MEP)
